Rise and shine, it's the first day of Summer! 🌞 Therapy Dog Ember is excited to empower you to make this season unforgettable! Stay radiant with these tips:

💧Stay hydrated: drink 8-10 cups of water a day
☀️Protect yourself from the sun: wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least 30 SPF
😎Stay cool: spend time in air-conditioned locations
🥵Watch for signs of heat exhaustion: early warning signs are excessive sweating & feeling faint or dizzy

Each year, an average of 6,500 grill fires result in nearly $27 million in property loss.

🔥Safety Tips🔥
- Grills should be placed well away from the home, deck railings, and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.
- Keep your grill clean by removing grease or fat buildup from the grills and in trays below the grill.
- Always make sure your gas grill lid is open before lighting it.

We are proud to partner with Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub as one of their off-site Fire Department Lithium Battery Collection program ♻ The fire department recognizes the importance of the environment and the safety of our sanitation workers who handle these batteries if thrown away. Delhi Township has participated very well in other recycling opportunities, so we are happy to give our community one more option!

Did you know that immediate CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival during cardiac arrest? 🫀

Lieutenant Kraemer and Firefighter Wilzbach were at Delhi Towne Square teaching Hands-Only CPR to community members at the Health and Wellness Fair. Learning this simple lifesaving skill takes just a few minutes and can make all the difference in an emergency.

Last night around midnight, crews were dispatched to Mt Alverno Road for a reported structure fire. The fire was contained to the kitchen, all occupants made it out safe, and one dog was rescued by firefighters.

Firefighters worked training new Fire Apparatus Operators (FAOs), building skills in driving, apparatus placement, and operating the pump panel to get water to firefighters. Our newest recruit also gained hands-on experience pulling hose and learning proper positioning 🚒💦
