This morning, we celebrated an incredible group of 8th grade students during the 8th Grade Awards Ceremony!🏅🏆🎖️

Students were recognized for their achievements in academics, world, language, the arts, athletics, music, and leadership. 📖🌎🏋🏻‍♀️🎼🎨

We also honored students receiving the president award for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout all three years of middle school while taking honors classes in eighth grade—an outstanding accomplishment!🎖️🏅

We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, talent, and perseverance shown by this class throughout their Middle School journey.

As they prepare to leave RRMS and begin their high school years, we wish them continued success, growth, and happiness, in all they do.

Our 6th graders wrapped up the year in the most “foamy” way possible! 🎉🫧

Yesterday, students who earned the 4th quarter incentive field trip celebrated with an awesome foam party filled with fun, laughter, and great memories. It was the perfect way to recognize their hard work and positive choices throughout the quarter while ending the school year on a high note!

🎉 congratulations to our newest members of the National Junior Honor Society!🎉

On May 7, we proudly inducted approximately 50 students into NJHS!

We are incredibly proud of these students and look forward to watching them continue to grow as leaders, role models and positive contributors to our school community. Their dedication and hard work have earned the special honor and we can wait to see all the accomplish in the future.

A huge thank you to the amazing Rapid Run Middle School PTA for helping make the last week of school extra fun for our students!

In addition to Lindsey’s shaved ice this Wednesday, the PTA has donated dozens of gift cards that will be given away throughout the week during daily student drawings. Each day, 5 students from each grade level will win a $15 gift card prize — that’s 75 student winners this week!

Gift cards include favorites like Target, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Chipotle, Bath & Body Works, Ulta, Skyline Chili, Graeter’s, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Raising Cane’s, Dairy Queen, and more.

Winning students will be announced each morning and can pick up their prize from the office before lunch.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support, generosity, and school spirit our PTA brings to Rapid Run. They consistently go above and beyond to make school a positive and memorable experience for our students and staff. Thank you, PTA!

Middle schoolers need a lot of "moms" and we're thankful for all of them.

Whether it's mom, step, bonus, aunt, grandma, room moms, or team moms, they're all there to lead our Rams to be their best. And thank you to all of the "school moms" on staff who are passionate about the minds and character of our Rams!

Our students are blessed and hopefully they spend some time recognizing the amazing women in their lives today.

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms in the Oak Hills Community! Enjoy your special day!

We are incredibly proud to recognize our 3rd Quarter Highest Honor recipients—students who have earned an outstanding 4.0 GPA! 🎉

An amazing 133 students achieved this distinction, demonstrating exceptional dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their learning. Their hard work truly reflects what it means to strive for excellence each and every day.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating these students during a special ceremony. We are so proud of their accomplishments and can’t wait to see all they continue to achieve!

Tonight @ JFD, 6pm!

The Sunshine Squad is a Cheer Team for boys and girls with special needs who reside in the Oak Hills Local School District. It is a structured team that practices once a week, where girls and boys in grades 1-12 with a variety of special needs learn cheerleading skills, get exercise, develop social skills, and interact with both typical peers and others with special needs within the school district.

The Oak Hills Little Highlanders Cheer Sunshine Squad is holding an Informational Meeting for parents on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in Room 33 at J.F. Dulles Elementary.

The Sunshine Squad is a Cheer Team for boys and girls with special needs who reside in the Oak Hills Local School District. It is a structured team that practices once a week, where girls and boys in grades 1-12 with a variety of special needs learn cheerleading skills, get exercise, develop social skills, and interact with both typical peers and others with special needs within the school district.

This is the fourth year for the Sunshine Squad and it keeps growing and growing! This year we plan to perform at the cheer showcase, several competitions, youth cheerleading football night, and partnering with the JV and High School cheerleaders to perform at a couple basketball games.

We are looking forward to another bright and shiny Sunshine season in 2026!

Thank you to Boley Braces for their generosity! Dr. Boley donates $1 for every point our basketball teams score in a season, and this was a good year!

Our Winter Glow Fling will be this Friday, February13th at 6:30pm-8pm. Tickets, $5, will be sold during lunch Tuesday through Thursday this week.
