We are aware of a recent social media post referencing comments made by a former Delhi Township police officer whose employment with our Department ended in September 2022.

During National Police Week, we honor and remember all law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. We also recognize the men and women who continue to serve each day with dedication and selflessness.

We are especially proud of the officers who serve and have served Delhi Township, and we remember Officer John Bechtol, who made the ultimate sacrifice on October 25, 1978.

Several of our officers have recently been recognized by outside organizations for their outstanding work:

• Sgt. Joe Goddard received the Blue Coat of the Year Award from the St. Dominic Delhi Knights of Columbus for his high standards of service, community involvement, and selfless commitment.

• Corporal Brad Doerger was recognized by Queen City Lodge #69 for excellence in interagency investigations, particularly his work with the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force.

• Detective Jimmy Gilbert received an award from the Hamilton County Sexual Assault Response Team for his exemplary support of victims of sexual assault.

Please join us in congratulating these officers and thanking all members of law enforcement for their continued service to our community.

Stuff The Cruiser Event

Join us this Saturday, May 9th at the Delhi Kroger (5080 Delhi Road) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Bring non-perishable food items and help us stuff a police cruiser for the Anderson Ferry Church of Christ Food Pantry.

Every can, box, and bag you donate will go directly to local families in need. We will be accepting donations in the parking lot.

Most needed items:

Canned tuna and Tuna Helper
Peanut butter & jelly
Spaghetti & sauce
Canned chicken and Chicken Helper
Cereal, Pop Tarts
Mac & cheese
Personal care items: deodorant, bar soap, toothpaste, toilet paper
No donation is too small, every item counts. Come by, drop off donations, and say hello!
