Happy Bengals Fans! We're celebrating by taking a peek at some non-football-playing felines who will be part of the upcoming exhibition "Edie McKee Harper: Modernist at Play," opening October 17. The first first solo museum presentation devoted to the work of Edie McKee Harper, this exhibition brings together more than 100 works offering a long-overdue exploration of the breadth and depth of Harper’s distinctive artistic vision and her lasting contributions to mid-20th century American art and design.

Learn about the history of the museum during Ohio Open Doors! 🚪🚶

On Sunday, September 20, enjoy a FREE day at the museum featuring drop-in public tours, and delight in an afternoon of jazz music with former Duncanson Artist-in-Residence Tracy Walker.

Swipe through for a shocking before-and-after 🤯👉

The stunning transformation of these European fans isn't just magic, it's the result of hard work and genuine care. In preparation for the current exhibition "Unfolding Elegance: European Fans from the Taft Collection," objects conservator Betsy Allaire spent over a year documenting, researching, and treating the Taft Museum of Art’s fans. Thanks to Allaire, we have a better understanding of what these works of art looked like when they were first made around 300 years ago.
