“Tenants should never have to fear losing their housing because someone entrusted with managing their rent payments chose greed ahead of their responsibilities,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. “These allegations are a serious breach of trust that affected residents and created unnecessary hardship. My office will continue to hold accountable those who exploit positions of trust.”

Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Jennifer Branch heard more than three dozen expungement cases last week, most of which were granted in compliance with the law. It was a joy to hear how these one-time defendants turned their lives around. Others seeking expungement were denied or delayed as the court weighed whether they had demonstrated rehabilitation.

Following tradition, I was pleased my office again donated $10,000 to the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund. We all came out to celebrate. It’s money seized from convicted criminals and I can’t think of a better way to use it than to make our community better with community fund projects.
