At Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH & Northern KY our mission is to deliver essential services that promote the independence of seniors so they may remain in the comfort of their own homes. This year we will serve 10,000 seniors in 11 counties - 3 in Ohio and 8 in Northern KY. 1.4 million meals will be delivered by a smiling driver or volunteer. We are also, proudly, the largest provider of home-de
livered meals in the area and one of the largest Meals on Wheels in the United States. Each of our 30-plus meal options is prepared in our own restaurant-grade kitchen. We are your trusted local provider in medically therapeutic home-delivered meals and groceries and offer:
- Physician prescribed food as medicine
- Medically tailored for seniors and chronic disease patients
- Dietician designed and approved full menus
- Readmission prevention and post-discharge meals. In addition to our home-delivered meals, we also provide Pet Support (food and vet vouchers for our seniors who receive home delivered meals) and Area Senior Services. This helps with Transportation, Financial Management, Senior Care Coordination, and Guardianship for those who need additional support in order to stay independent. Building Coordinators, who are social workers, assist in senior housing complexes, and we have eight Congregate Meal sites, serving community meals in Hamilton County. Furthermore, our OTR Senior Center is a warm, friendly place for many seniors to socialize and find friendship and support.
