Some places just make you want to linger.

Step inside the newly opened Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel and, for a moment, you’ll swear you’ve been transported to a tucked-away boutique hotel in New York. Historic architecture, timeless design, cozy corners, and the kind of details that make you slow down and stay awhile, all without ever leaving Downtown Cincinnati .

Located at 210 E. 6th Street, Fidelity Hotel is the newest addition to the Fountain District, and it couldn’t be more perfectly placed. Start your morning with a coffee (or an afternoon pick-me-up) from Cora’s All Day Café, make your way across the street for a little shopping at Richter & Phillips Jewelers | Luxury Watches & Diamonds, settle in for dinner at Gwynne, then wander over to Fountain Square for free live music, events, and everything else happening just steps away.

This is the kind of staycation that reminds you why people fall in love with downtown. Every stop is walkable. Every block has a story. And now, there’s one more reason to spend the day or the weekend…right here.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel. We have a feeling you’re going to fit in just fine. 🤍

There is nothing more uniquely Cincinnati than a cheese coney! Welcome to the Fountain District, Skyline Chilli

The company hosted a ribbon cutting yesterday evening, giving Cincinnatians a sneak peek inside the massive 9,000-square-foot space. Skyline is set to open its first-of-a-kind, restaurant and taproom to the public Friday, June 19.

Behind the classic counter is a large cooking area with not just one, but two kitchens. To the left is a bar with 10 taps offering draft b**r selections from almost every local brewery as well as select w**e options. On the backside of the restaurant is a carryout space and pickup window with dine-in service accessible only via Sixth Street.

Along with its usual cheese coneys and three-ways, the restaurant will offer new menu additions exclusive to the Fountain Square space, such as Skyline dip potato skins, mac and cheese bites, buffalo chicken dip pizza and all-day breakfast options.

“You have the ability now to bring a guest from out of town and say, ‘You know, you can hit some really big staples here,'” Williams said to the Cincinnati Business Courier. “It’s really a sign of our commitment to the downtown core and making ourselves more accessible to customers that love us, but to visitors, too.”

Skyline partnered with general contractor Core Resources. Interior design was crafted by Katie Dobbs of KP Design International. The restaurant also collaborated with creative agency AGAR for its experimental design with architectural services by JLS Architects.

The Fountain Square space will be open daily from 8AM-10PM.

Just months after opening to the public, Elm Street Plaza invited community members and convention center visitors to deepen their engagement with public art through the installation of four new permanent sculptural works. Conceptualized and created by local artistic organizations AGAR and Black Art Speaks (BAS), along with local artists Jason Snell and Luke Lehenbauer, the new artworks further establish the plaza as a cultural destination in the heart of Downtown Cincinnati.

The artists and organizations gathered this morning at Elm Street Plaza with civic leaders – including City Of Cincinnati Government City Manager Sheryl Long; Patti Collins, President of the Bootsy and Patti Collins Foundation; representatives from the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC); and community members – to celebrate the newly installed sculptures.

Well before the creation of Elm Street Plaza, part of the First Financial Center’s historic reimagining, King Records’ legacy of rhythm, resilience and revolutionary spirit was memorialized at a monumental scale by world-renowned artist Tristan Eaton. Eaton’s 18,000-square-foot mural on the side of the 84.51° headquarters pays homage to the diverse spectrum of music rooted in Cincinnati, featuring larger-than-life legends who influenced genres and generations worldwide. Together, Eaton’s mural and the four new sculptures help transform Elm Street Plaza from a shared gathering space into a distinctive cultural landmark within the urban core.

AGAR and Black Art Speaks were also part of a larger group of local arts organizations that convened beginning in 2024 to explore the role and expression of public art inside and outside the reimagined convention center. That collaboration resulted in 13 new interior installations, in addition to the four exterior works unveiled today: Coloratura by AGAR Studios; Freeforms by Luke Lehenbauer; True American Music by Jason Snell; and Funk Glasses by Black Art Speaks.

This May, 3CDC will present a free weekly Artist Talk series at Elm Street Plaza, featuring contributing artists who will discuss their artwork, inspirations, and creative process in depth. Learn more about the Artist Talk series here: https://elmstreetplazacincy.com/event/artist-talks/
