Learning the warning signs of su***de can help you recognize when someone may be struggling, whether it's a loved one, a friend, a coworker, or even yourself. Changes in mood, sleep, or behavior, withdrawing from others, or talking about having no reason to live are all signs that someone may need support.

Bullying can be difficult to talk about—but open, supportive conversations can make all the difference. 💙

If you suspect your child may be experiencing bullying, start by asking simple questions about their friendships, school experiences, and daily interactions. Listen calmly, reassure them that they are not to blame, and let them know you are there to help.

Remember: encourage your child to seek support from trusted adults, work with school staff to address concerns, and seek professional help if you notice signs of emotional distress.

Through child abuse and bullying prevention education, we help students build personal safety skills, support schools in meeting Ohio House Bill 19 requirements, and create opportunities for children to speak up when they need help.
