We were at the Board of Trustees meeting this morning, protesting the upcoming tuition hike and asking the board to vote no on the proposal. The actual vote is in June, and we hope that the members on the board listen to the general student body and oppose this redundant tuition hike. We're glad that we were able to end our anti-tuition hike campaign on a high note. Even though we're barely 4 months old as an organization, we're proud to have achieved so much in a short time span.

“The board of trustees is not an elected body, and for it to decide that it will charge incoming freshmen more money to fund non-academic initiatives is abuse of power,” said Temburnikar. “I believe this is the first time in UC's recent history where students, who have different political beliefs or are even apolitical, have supported a campaign so strongly. In ignoring our voice, the administration will have only widened the gap between the student and the university.”

Seven of the University of Cincinnati’s on-campus political organizations have signed a petition to reject a proposed 6 percent tuition hike for the 2019-20 academic school year.

UC is an outlier in Ohio when it comes to instructional spending. Our tuition is not going towards student welfare, period. We come to college to get an education not to sponsor the fu***ng sports team.

SAY NO TO TUITION HIKE!

Our comrades are out there, on the frontlines, raising awareness about UC's proposed 6% tuition hike for freshmen. We collected 423 signatures online and 50+ on paper in less than 30 hours.

The board of trustees will vote on this proposal on 23rd April. We have to get as many signatures as possible to oppose this undemocratic move by an administration that spends recklessly on things we don't need.
