FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -

On August 21, 2026, at approximately 9:26 A.M., Colerain Township Police Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Nandale Drive for a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived on scene and located evidence consistent with a shooting. A short time later, Officers learned an adult male victim arrived at Mercy West Hospital in Green Township with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim had been transported to the hospital by a 14-year-old family member, who was later identified as the suspect.

An investigation by the Colerain Township Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Unit has led to the 14-year-old being charged with Felonious Assault (a felony of the 2nd degree) and Tampering with Evidence (a felony of the 3rd degree). He has been arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Youth Center.

The victim has been transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries.

🍎🎒 Welcome back to school!

This is easily one of our favorite days of the whole year! Students at Colerain, Taylor, Struble, and Pleasant Run Elementary Schools got a warm welcome this morning from our police officers and firefighters. What better way to start the year off right?

Join us for an engaging 12-week Citizens Police Academy, hosted by the Colerain Township Police Department. Classes will be held every Thursday evenings.
