Partnerships for Housing provides safe, affordable and accessible rental housing for people with developmental disabilities residing in Butler County. Our rental properties are designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities who choose to live with one or two other people and share the costs of the home and support services. We work with prospective tenants and their families to give them a

choice about whom they live with, the house and neighborhood they will be living in, and any renovations that will be required to accommodate their particular needs. Roughly half of our homes have been designed to accommodate people with mobility impairments. Aside from choosing their home and housemates, tenants also interview and select their own support providers. Supports needed for the tenant to live in the community are arranged through the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. These supports are based on individual needs and can range from full-time, around-the-clock assistance to a few hours per week. Rents are kept affordable for people with disabilities by setting rents at no more than 30% of a tenants income. As the landlord, Partnerships for Housing is responsible for repairs and general upkeep of the property.

The North Washington, Douglas, and Ashmore homes were thrilled to learn they received an award and prizes.
All of the participants did an amazing job with their decorations which made the judge’s decision quite difficult.
