Tracy Cook is the executive director for the Cincinnati-based nonprofit ProKids, which helps connect volunteers as court appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children.

The nonprofit reports about 3,000 children move through Hamilton County's child protection system each year — roughly double the number the organization saw when Cook first volunteered with ProKids in the early 1990s.

Walmart Cincinnati - Ferguson Rd has certainly raised the bar for our back-to-school backpack event- they came in with $25,000 worth of school supplies for not only the children we serve, but all children in the system. WOW! Game changer!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
