🎇 Back right on time! 🎇

Our redesigned Boat 37 relaunched earlier this week after undergoing some upgrading.

Thanks to FF Joel Brown, Capt. Kevin Davis and DC Curt Goodman for the redesign. Also, a special thanks to Capt. Craig Pigman and Fire Fleet Services, for all of the time and tracking spent on this project.

Boat 37 is ready to support Boat 3 tonight for any CFD x Riverfest needs!

With tens of thousands still without power 24 hours after last night’s severe storms, the American Red Cross Central & Southern Ohio Region has opened an emergency shelter tonight at the Hartwell Recreation Center, 8275 Vine Street.

🏠 Food and shelter available to anyone who needs it

🕕 Doors opened at 6 p.m. — shelter operating overnight

🤝 Supported by the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Cincinnati Fire Department, and Cincinnati Police Department

If you or someone you know is without power and needs a safe, warm place to stay, please share this post — every share helps get the word out to neighbors who need it most.

More rain = more possibilities for unsafe driving conditions and downed wires.

For high water on roadways: turn around and seek an alternative route to your destination.

For downed wires: stay at least 30 feet back and always assume they are live. Call 911 immediately.

This shared US National Weather Service Wilmington OH image does not show the storm swinging as far south now, but it is always best to operate as though 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 👀.

Earlier images today had more of the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky geography shaded.

Round 2 - Severe Thunderstorm watch until 8PM. Potential for 70-80 MPH winds, which can cause significant widespread damage.

Recruit Class 124 is officially CFD! 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

45 recruits spent 32 weeks training in Firefighting, Fire Inspection, and HAZMAT response. Yesterday they showed their families what they learned at Family Day — today, they graduated as Cincinnati firefighters.

Thank you to the friends, families, dignitaries, and current CFD members who came out to make both days so memorable. And a special thank-you to Busken Bakery for generously donating donuts and cookies for Family Day!

CFD loves spending time with our smallest residents ❤️!

📸 1: Neighborhood kids in Elmwood jumped in to help the 38s load their hose back onto the truck, and insisted on a photo with the 38s and 8s before they left.

📸 2 - 4: Ladder 31 members presented to children at the UC Arlitt Child Development Center, where they learned about how to stay safe in situations with fire 🔥.
