Engineering Inabilities into Capabilities At May We Help, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full and independent life.

That's why we provide free, custom solutions for individuals with disabilities. Our team of talented volunteers, including engineers, designers, inventors, and artisans, works together to create unique devices that address specific needs and challenges. From adaptive equipment to assistive technologies, we strive to empower individuals with disabilities to overcome obstacles and achieve their goal

s. In addition to the custom solutions, we also offer a variety of adaptive equipment, including walkers, wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and more. May We Help also offers programs to children in the disabled community. Our annual Halloween party, held in October, is a great event featuring costumes made by our volunteers to incorporate the child's wheelchair into the costume. At Christmas time, we host a satellite workshop for Santa with a toy box full of switch-adapted toys. The event offers sweet treats and a visit with Santa. The best part of May We Help is that all of our solutions, equipment, and programming are supported by generous donors who help us offer everything we do free of cost to the recipient. Here at May We Help, we happen to have several majestic chariots of mild inconvenience that are perfect for nursing a broken foot, sprained ankle, or ruptured Achilles or similar ailments (AKA Knee Scooters).

The knee scooters are gently used, fully functional, and ready to bring a little bit of joy (and mobility) to your current orthopedic challenge.

If you or a loved one has recently lost a fight with the stairs, the curb, a pile of Legos, or even just flat ground, this may be helpful to you.

Must pick up! First-come, first-served at our next equipment event on 🗓June 2 from 6-8 PM at 7501 Wooster Pike. 🗓

We also have our usual DME equipment such as wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and more.

Solution Update! 👏 Vella likes to travel with her family and needs a portable sleep-safe bed for her adventures. As any great traveler knows, the most important part of a trip isn't just in the journey (or the snacks), it’s getting a good night’s sleep so you have the energy to discover something new the next day. Vella’s family contacted May We Help to see about a custom solution. Bob picked up the challenge and designed a portable easy to assemble and disassemble tent that can sit on top of a bed or be used with an air mattress. Now Vella, and her family, are ready for their next adventure!

Since we are not moving quite yet, we scheduled a few more equipment events. These are open-house style events with an opportunity to meet with a volunteer PT. Modifications may be possible, if needed, during the event.

Equipment donations are also welcome at this time.
We are especially seeking small gait trainers, small pediatric wheelchairs, and strollers of any size.

Shoutout to the intricate web of painter’s tape and structural bungee cords for doing the heavy lifting, and the paper towel foundation for bravely catching whatever is actively trying to escape. 🤣🤣 Time to re-order Saran Wrap.

All joking aside, we have a great group of volunteers who can engineer a custom solution for you. We promise to use more than painters' tape and bungee cords. 🤣
