It’s the best day of the week! And not just because it’s Friday, but because it’s time to find out what our Day Program participants got up to throughout the week!

And as always, we had a blast, staying busy by giving back and getting creative! 💜✨

From volunteering at Valley Interfaith Community Resource Center and Matthew25 Ministries, helping prepare supplies for the community like diapers, and candy bags. To showing off their artistic side during cookie decorating, everyone had the chance to build skills, express themselves, and have fun together. 🍪🫶

We love seeing the smiles, teamwork, and confidence that shine through in every activity! And we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next week, so stay tuned! 💙

🌟It’s that special time of the week!!! Happy Employee Spotlight Thursday!🌟

This week we’re celebrating one of our best, Larry Restle!

For the past 17 years, Larry has dedicated himself to supporting the individuals we serve and leading staff with compassion, patience, and care. His favorite part of the job is building meaningful bonds of trust and watching individuals grow, succeed, and accomplish new things every day.

Larry is an avid Cincinnati sports fan, a grumpy cat lover, and an incredible coworker, friend and member of our family.

Thank you, Larry, for the positivity, commitment, and heart you bring to CSI each and every day. We’re so lucky to have you on our team! 💙

Today we’re highlighting the power of music! Listening to familiar songs, singing along, dancing, or simply enjoying music with others can help reduce stress, improve mood, and strengthen social connection. Music encourages our minds and bodies to promote emotional wellness by reminding us to let go, have fun and always dance it out! 💙

Happy Fri-yay!! This week, the Day Program had some common themes, creativity, community, and lots of fun! 🎨🦛💃

Our participants enjoyed making adorable hippo art at the library, getting creative with abstract trees during art club, dancing the day away with Pones Dance, and volunteering at Gorman Farms! We love creating opportunities for self-expression, connection, and joyful memories every week. 💙

This week, our very own Andy Maidlow, alongside Andy Swaisgood of Clearwater Council of Governments, has the incredible opportunity to attend and host a breakout session at the Ohio Children’s Alliance and Department of Behavior Health’s 13th Annual Trauma-Informed Summit. Andy’s session on resilience ways of being that promote felt safety is an area of expertise that he has been actively working and growing in for a very long time. And this week, he gets to share his vast knowledge with others, and we couldn’t be more proud!! Good luck and have fun, Andy! 🍀🤞💙

Happy Tuesday!!! It’s time to Train our Brains! And since the weather is heading into permanent summer temperatures, this week we’re talking a key aspect of summer fun, hydration!

Your brain feels the heat before your body does? When temperatures rise, even mild dehydration can affect the brain’s ability to regulate mood, focus, memory, and reaction time.

Losing just a tiny fraction of your body’s fluids can cause neurons to misfire, leading to that all-too-familiar brain fog, irritability, and mental fatigue. In extreme heat, your brain works overtime just to keep your body balanced. So give your brain the support it needs to stay sharp, resilient, and focused today by:

Drinking up: Keep a water bottle handy and sip throughout the day. 🚰

Listen to your mind: If you're feeling suddenly irritable or unfocused, it might just be a signal to sip! 🧃

Remember to stay hydrated and resilient this summer! ☀️💦

Happy Friday everyone! It’s time for our Day Program weekly recap! 🌟 This week, we’ve been busy with the three Ps: painting, playing, and pastry-tasting!

Nikki and Delores enjoyed their time at the Wyoming Pastry Shop, giving the camera some peace signs before heading to the park for a little chalk and walk, while Jess put her artistic skills to the test for some vase painting at the library! This week was (as always) amazing, there’s never a dull moment when we’re out and about together! 🥨🌳🌷 See you next week!
