The Drug Recovery and Treatment Court of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas was the first drug court established in Ohio and is the only full-time drug court in the State of Ohio. This court provides specialized supervision and treatment for defendants whose dependency upon substance use results in criminal penalties. The Drug Recovery and Treatment oversees treatment team meetings and stat

us review hearings serving in a non-adversarial role. The Drug Recovery and Treatment ensures the protection of victims' rights and public safety via the recommendation of sanctions and incentives for participants. Those who voluntarily participate in the program seek to end their addiction thus improving the quality of their lives and furthering the public's security. The Drug Recovery and Treatment is treatment based. Participants will first be assessed to recommend proper treatment. Participation in the program includes regular court appearances before the Drug Recovery and Treatment Judge with adjustments as needed.

We love moments like this 💙 One of our former Drug Court participants returned to share an incredible accomplishment with Judge Sanders earning her high school diploma! This was a goal she and Judge Sanders discussed while she was in the program, and she stayed committed even after successfully completing Drug Court. She truly lived out Judge Sanders’ motto: Show up. Try. Be honest.
We are so proud of her continued hard work, perseverance, and dedication to her future. Congratulations on this amazing achievement!
