Ohio Working Families Party is proud to endorse union Ironworker and Brook Park City Councilmember Brian Poindexter for Congress in OH-7!

OH-7 is another extremely gerrymandered district that runs from the shores of Lake Erie near Cleveland nearly 80 miles south to Nashville, OH. This election is an opportunity for Ohioans to flip a Congressional seat currently occupied by MAGA Max Miller—Miller is an election denier who married Bernie Moreno’s daughter at a Trump golf course and talked about turning Gaza “into a parking lot” while voting to send your tax dollars to harm families abroad instead of helping our families here at home.

Brian Poindexter is a fighter for workers and their families because he is a worker himself. Whether on a machine shop floor, walking a beam on a Cleveland skyscraper, or sitting down with a resident to solve a local issue, Brian lives and breathes working-class values and will bring that pro-worker mentality to the halls of Congress. Brian understands these issues because as a card carrying union member and a member of the working class, he’s worked many of the blue-collar jobs residents of Ohio’s 7th Congressional District have trying to make ends meet, dealing with kitchen table issues, and working hard to raise a young family.

We have another canvass for this weekend!

On April 12th, Dr. Bryan Hambley is hosting a meet and greet at Swaim Park in Montgomery, OH from 1:00 - 2:30 PM. The Cincinnati Wolf Pack will then lead a canvass to help get Bryan elected from 2:30 - 5:00 PM.

No experience is needed, and training will be provided. Bring a fully charged phone, your favorite shoes (for walking), and a friend.

The people running Ohio (and the White House) are bleeding the working class to fund their wars, their egos, and their corruption. We’ve been fighting back. This month, we take it to the doors.

The Working Families Party just endorsed Dr. Bryan Hambley for Ohio Secretary of State. Bryan fights for his patients and his community every day. As SOS, he’ll fight for fair elections and push for the nonpartisan redistricting Ohioans already voted for - while continuing to refuse every dollar of corporate PAC money. If he wins, he’ll spend 2027 touring Ohio to make redistricting reform stick.

The May 5th primary is weeks away. Bryan’s current tour has him out on the trail, meeting voters from every corner of the state, including places a Democrat hasn’t been in years. His team is bringing that same energy to Cincinnati. Come meet the organizers and other folks behind the campaign and head out to the doors together.
