Thank You for Joining Us!
This past Saturday, September 12, we had the privilege of welcoming a new group of changemakers to the Appointed Civic Leadership Academy.
Participants from across the Greater Cincinnati region came together to expand their knowledge of civic leadership, build meaningful connections, and explore pathways to serving their communities through public boards and commissions.
Attendees were welcomed by Rasheda Cromwell, Chief Impact Officer of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and spent the day gaining a deeper understanding of local government while learning from leaders working to shape health and human services outcomes across our region.
A special thank you to our incredible speakers and panelists for sharing their experiences, perspectives, and lessons learned:
- Ryan James, Council Member, City of Cincinnati
- Kreg Keesee, President & CEO, Freestore Foodbank
- Sherwood MacVeigh, Vice President, Marketing & Public Relations, Ohio Valley Goodwill
- Dr. Julie Olberding, Director, MPA Program, Northern Kentucky University
- Kate Schroder, President & CEO, Interact for Health
- Leia Snyder, Superintendent, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services
- Dr. H. James Williams, President, Mount St. Joseph University
And thank you to Tammy Bennett, Women's Fund Leadership Council Chair, for guiding our panel discussion and helping create a rich and engaging conversation.
The commitment, curiosity, and passion for community leadership that filled the room made this session truly memorable. We are excited to see how these emerging leaders continue to make an impact throughout the region.
