Cicero Fire Department Cicero, New York Over the years, the department started out with a one bay station to now operating out of two stations which house (3) Squads, (1) Misc.

The Cicero Volunteer Fire Department was formed in the spring of 1883 by several residents of the Town of Cicero who recognized the need for a fire department to provide fire and medical coverage to those within or passing through the town. Pickup, (1) Heavy Rescue, (3) Engines, (1) Ladder Truck and (4) Chiefs Vehicles. The department has 70+ members, and answers on average of 900+ fire / ems alarms each year. In 2020 we are celebrating 137 years of service to the residents of the Town of the Cicero.

🔥 Cicero Firefighter Honors the Fallen at 9/11 Stair Climb 🔥

This morning, Cicero Firefighter Lara Drozdz participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Utica, joining firefighters and emergency responders in honoring the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

The stair climb is more than a physical challenge, it is an opportunity to remember the 343 FDNY firefighters, along with all first responders and innocent lives lost as a result of the attacks. Each step serves as a reminder of the courage, dedication, and sacrifice demonstrated that day.

We are proud of Lara for representing the Cicero Fire Department and taking part in this meaningful tribute.

We climb because they climbed. We remember because we promised never to forget.

🚨 SAFETY AWARENESS DAY 🚨

The Cicero Fire Department is proud to join the Cicero Police Department, NY and North Syracuse Fire Department for Safety Awareness Day today, September 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lowe’s Home Improvement of Cicero, 5701 East Circle Drive.

This is a great opportunity for families and community members to stop by, meet your local first responders, learn important safety information, and enjoy a day focused on making our community safer.

The event will feature representatives from our local emergency services, food trucks, a kids clinic, Luv Handlz, The Dawgfather, and more.

We encourage everyone to stop out, say hello to our members, visit with our public safety partners, and enjoy a great community event.

We are fortunate to work alongside outstanding women in law enforcement who stand shoulder-to-shoulder with fire, EMS, dispatchers, and other public safety professionals during some of our community’s most difficult moments.

đźš’ VEHICLES WANTED FOR TRAINING đźš’

The Cicero Fire Department is seeking vehicles to use for upcoming firefighter training.

Do you have a vehicle that no longer runs, is no longer needed, or you would be willing to donate? Your old vehicle could become an important training tool for our firefighters.

Donated vehicles allow our members to participate in real-world, hands-on training, including vehicle stabilization, patient access, extrication techniques, and the proper use of rescue tools. This training helps our firefighters build and maintain the skills needed when seconds count during an emergency.

A donation acknowledgment letter can be provided for donated vehicles.
