Update from Texas Department of Transportation:

🚧 FM 1103 lane closures scheduled Sept. 14-18
Daily lane closures are scheduled on FM 1103 between Old Wiederstein Road and Orth Avenue from Monday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

The closures are needed to allow the contractor to install handrail along the roadway.

During work hours, traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with two-way traffic controlled by a pilot truck through the work zone. All lanes will reopen each day after 3 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays and consider allowing extra travel time when traveling through the area.

Drivers are urged to slow down, obey all traffic-control devices and watch for construction crews and equipment in the work zone.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, City of Cibolo staff gathered in prayer and observed a moment of silence to honor the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and all those forever impacted by the events of that day.

We remember their courage, sacrifice and resilience. We will never forget.

At the September 8 City Council meeting, the City of Cibolo recognized AISIN Texas Corporation for its significant investment, job creation, advanced manufacturing operations, and continued partnership with our community.

Since selecting Cibolo for its first Texas manufacturing facility in 2019, AISIN has invested approximately $400 million in our community, created hundreds of quality jobs, and strengthened Cibolo’s role in the South Central Texas automotive manufacturing industry.

As part of the recognition, AISIN Texas also provided the City with a RWD Hybrid Transmission, for display at Cibolo City Hall. Manufactured right here in Cibolo, the transmission showcases the innovation, advanced technology, and skilled workforce behind AISIN Texas’ local operations.

Thank you to President Kawatsu; Priscilla Sands, Vice President of AISIN Texas; and Jessica Moore, GM of Corporate Management, for joining us last night and accepting this recognition.

To AISIN Texas and its employees, a heartfelt thank you for investing in Cibolo and for continuing to be an important community and economic development partner. We look forward to many more years of partnership and shared success! 👏
