These words are often said…but never more meaningful than they are today…THANK YOU! It has been my honor to have the opportunity to serve the community and be part of this campaign. My fellow candidate, Paula Barson, said it best in her recent post: “While I did not win this election, I did not lose. I gained friends and experiences that can never be replaced.” So true. The Northampton Township Democratic Committee, Bucks United, and all those who made this campaign possible – to you I offer my great thanks. I am filled with heartfelt gratitude for all my friends and neighbors whose support and gracious efforts will never be forgotten. Your time, energy, commitment, and good will resonate beyond words. To Christine Richardson for Northampton Supervisor and all my fellow Democratic candidates, your friendship, strength, noble efforts, and enduring spirit have enriched my life beyond measure and will remain with me for all the days to come. To my wife, Christine, and to my daughters, Paige and Brianne, I give to you even more love and gratitude than one humble and grateful husband and father can give.
I offer my sincere congratulations to Paula Gasper and Robert Salzer and wish them success as Northampton Township Supervisors. I too wish to thank outgoing supervisors Eileen Silver and Frank O’Donnell for their service to our community. It is much appreciated and it is my hope that their efforts in leading our township in an inclusive, collaborative, and positive manner will serve as examples for our newest supervisors and all supervisors to come.
A new day shines on our township and the future yet beckons us to continue to build the welcoming community we so desire. I trust we will all work together – as caring, involved citizens – on this important journey.
Again and as always…Thank you…and Best regards,
John Bishop
