The SOCODEMS is an activist and social club located in Southern AA County MD dedicated to representing Democrats and helping to elect Do-Something Democrats in South County. Formed more than 30 years ago, the South County Democratic Club is actively involved in the South County community, advancing progressive policies and supporting Democratic candidates who are also dedicated to these ideals. nthly meetings are held at Pirates Cove Restaurant in Galesville, MD on the first Wednesday evening of the month. We host a variety of guest speakers on topics of community and political interest and welcome visitors.

Candidate Meet and Greet for CD5

This month, the South County Dem Club will host candidates Wala Blegay, Alexis Solis and Dave Sundberg for the Congressional District 5 seat tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, at Galesville Memorial Hall, 925 Main Street.

Please join other club members as we continue to identify candidates that best represent us in South County. Get your questions answered face to face.

We will also hear from our own club member Joy Crosser about exciting voter registration opportunities in the county. Doors open at 6 p.m., program begins at 6:30 p.m. Pizza will be served!

What a great night with the South County Democrats this week in Galesville! It was wonderful to see so many candidates and community members come together, with representation from races for Congress, Delegate, State’s Attorney, County Executive, Register of Wills, and the Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee.

Thank you to the community members who came out to engage and learn more, and to the candidates who shared why they are running for these important roles up and down the ballot. Opportunities like this help keep our communities informed, connected, and involved in the democratic process.

Please come join us for a festive pre-St. Patrick's Day meet and greet with candidates from the Central Committee to the House of Representatives at Stan and Joe's Riverside in Galesville .

We are kicking off at 6 p.m. Meeting starts at 6:30 pm this TUESDAY 3/10/26. We will provide some appetizers, but the beer is on you! The meeting is open to all - bring friends and neighbors who are interested in who will be on the ballot!
