Water service has been restored and testing is complete.

You may notice cloudy, brown, or orange-colored water as it works its way through the system. This is normal after repairs. Simply run your cold water for a few minutes and it should clear up.

If the issue persists after Wednesday morning, please call City Hall at 337-684-5692.

The town remains under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will update on Facebook, our website, text notifications and local media once the boil advisory is lifted.

REMINDER FOR TOMORROW MORNING: Work on our water system will begin tomorrow (Tuesday May 26) at 9:00 AM, crews will be performing repairs on multiple water issues throughout town.

During this time, residents may be without water for up to 6 hours while the work is completed. Once repairs are finished, the entire town will be placed under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.

Please make the necessary preparations in advance. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important work is completed.

What to know after our water work is complete on Tuesday:
When the water comes back on, you MAY experience popping sounds, and cloudy water, this is due to air in the line. You MAY also see some discoloration in the water, this is because of sediment. This is normal after work is performed. You will also see fire hydrants open and running, that will also help with the cloudiness of the water. If you are away from your home during the day and return at night, you MAY also see cloudiness or discolored water. If so, please run your cold water for a bit.
