CBP Air and Marine Operations (AMO), working in conjunction with Border Patrol, recently apprehended a group of 17 aliens attempting to illegally enter the U.S. under the cover of darkness. Among those taken into custody was an individual whose records revealed a significant criminal history, including:

Multiple DUI convictions (1992, 1992, 1993, 1997, 1999)
Obstruction (1996)
Co***ne Possession (1999)

This individual is now in custody and has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for 8 USC 1326, Illegal Reentry after Deportation. He will face deportation upon serving his sentence.
This apprehension highlights the critical work of CBP AMO and Border Patrol agents who work tirelessly to secure our borders and prevent individuals with criminal backgrounds from entering our communities. We remain vigilant in our mission to protect the homeland.

🚨 San Diego Sector Continues to Enhance Border Security Infrastructure! 🚨

San Diego Sector is actively engaged in ongoing construction projects to bolster border security. These efforts include building new border barriers and upgrading existing infrastructure with advanced technology.

These projects are part of a broader initiative to strengthen our border security infrastructure. This involves installing system upgrades such as improved lighting, advanced surveillance cameras, and enhanced patrol roads. New barriers, often featuring 30-foot-high steel bollards with anti-climb features, are being constructed to close critical gaps and improve agent response times.

These infrastructure improvements are crucial for impeding illegal border crossings and disrupting drug and human smuggling activities by transnational criminal organizations, ultimately enhancing the safety and security of our communities.
