Please join us in welcoming two of our newest police officers, Officer J. Carson and Officer A. Ratajczyk!

Officer J. Carson joins our department with over five years of law enforcement experience, having previously served with the Cape Girardeau Police Department in Missouri. We are excited to welcome the experience and knowledge he brings to our agency and community.

Today marks an exciting milestone for Officer A. Ratajczyk as he officially graduated from the Southwestern Illinois Police Academy! His graduation represents the completion of months of hard work, dedication, and training as he begins his career in law enforcement.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Ratajczyk on this outstanding accomplishment and in welcoming both Officer J. Carson and Officer A. Ratajczyk to our department. We look forward to having them serve our community!

🚨 COMMUNITY REMINDER: TAKE YOUR KEYS WITH YOU & LOCK YOUR VEHICLE 🚨

We want to remind everyone to please take a few extra seconds when parking your vehicle to remove your keys and lock your doors.

Recently, three vehicles have been stolen after keys were left inside. While we will always do everything we can to investigate these incidents and hold those responsible accountable, leaving your keys inside an unattended vehicle makes it incredibly easy for someone to take it.

Please help us help you protect your property. Take your keys. Lock your doors. Secure your vehicle. Don't make your vehicle an easy opportunity for someone looking to commit a crime.

A few seconds of prevention can save you from a major headache and loss later.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from the Christopher Police Department! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy because of the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us.

As you gather with family and friends, we wish everyone a safe, fun, and memorable Fourth of July.

A special thank you to the officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and all first responders who are serving our communities today so others can celebrate safely. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Please celebrate responsibly, watch out for one another, and enjoy the holiday.

In Memory of K9 Booker

The Christopher Police Department extends our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to K9 Booker's handler, department, city, family, and community.

K9 Booker served with loyalty, courage, and unwavering dedication. The bond between a K9 and their handler is unlike any other, and the loss of a faithful partner is felt far beyond the agency they served.

We honor K9 Booker's service and sacrifice and thank him for the countless lives he touched throughout his career.

Rest easy, K9 Booker. Your watch has ended. We have it from here.

Today, we remember the Americans who never made it home.

Memorial Day is not about politics, sales, or long weekends. It is about the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country and the families who carry that loss every day after.

Their names deserve to be remembered. Their sacrifice deserves more than one day of reflection.

From all of us at the Christopher Police Department, we honor those who served and died for something greater than themselves. We also keep their families, friends, and brothers and sisters in uniform in our thoughts today.

Please take a moment today to pause, reflect, and remember why this day exists.
