New River Family Shelter New River Family Shelter (NRFS) is a scattered shelter program in the NRV providing emergency housing

WHO WE SERVE:
Any family can experience an unforeseen challenge creating a situation where the family cannot maintain housing. Such challenges may include: a death in the family, a lost job, an illness, or an unexpected bill. Those eligible for service include:
Families with children
Families who are not in a domestic violence situation
Families with permanent ties to the New River Valley
Famili

es who are dedicated to achieving permanent housing
We also provide information and referrals to any individual experiencing homelessness.
