Graduation broadcast
The graduation ceremony will be broadcast live on https://www.youtube.com/user/KJINews707 for anyone who is unable to attend the ceremony. If you subscribe to the Youtube channel in advance, you will be notified when the broadcast goes live on graduation night.
*Additional information about the limited parking that will be available during the ceremony:
• The parking lot at CHS will have reserved parking only. Each graduate will get one VIP Parking Placard. The parking lot will be opened at 4:30 PM. Doors to the stadium will not be open until 5:15 PM. There will be officers at both entrances checking for appropriate placards. Each family will get to determine how to best use the placard for their family.
• Additional handicapped spaces will be reserved in the lower parking lot by the stadium. To get one of these spots, a valid handicapped placard will need to be on display and have the matching ID.
• The small parking lot north of the old main building of CHS will be open for first come first served parking.
• Choctaw Nazarene Church (on corner of 10th and Harper) has graciously volunteered their parking lot as an overflow area for patrons to park. The shuttle service will only be picking up from the lower area of Choctaw Creek Park; however, due to their generosity, overflow parking can be used at Choctaw Nazarene Church.
• CNP will provide shuttle rides to and from lower level of Choctaw Creek Park to Jensen Field beginning at 5:00 PM. The last shuttle bringing visitors to the ceremony will leave at 6:30 PM. Shuttle service returning patrons to their vehicles at Choctaw Creek Park will begin immediately after graduation ends and will run through 9:00 PM.
• Please make sure you are following all protocols and do not bring prohibited items. You will not be allowed into the event with any prohibited items, and we will not be able to store those items. Please consider this event in relation to security similar to that of an OU, OSU, or OKC Thunder basketball game.
• Anyone may be dropped off at the football parking lot entrance.
• At 6:15 PM, any unfilled spots on the CHS campus will be opened to a first come first served capacity. Your parking pass is no longer needed or valid after 6:15pm.
Additional notes for consideration if attending the graduation ceremony:
• We will utilize weapon detection systems and have security guards at each of the four entrances. This will require additional time to get inside the stadium. Please make plans accordingly to ensure plenty of time to get inside the stadium and be seated. No food or reusable water bottles will be permitted. The athletic event clear bag policy will be in effect.
• Additional security and police officers will be stationed throughout the stadium and campus.
• Seating will be available in both the home and visitors’ bleachers as well as standing room areas along the fences and courtyard areas. Other than handicapped seating, there are NO reserved or saved seats – it will strictly be first come first served.
• Additional handicapped seating for those in wheelchairs will be provided on the field. An additional folding chair will be available for each person sitting in a wheelchair to have a non-handicapped person sitting beside them in this area.
• Lawn chairs, stadium seats, umbrellas, and noisemakers will not be permitted. We need all available space for the number of spectators expected. Stadium seats would reduce the number of seats available. In addition, stadium seats and lawn chairs would slow down the security entrances with additional time searching/clearing each chair.
