Today, we pause to remember the lives lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001.
We especially honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who answered the call and never returned home. They ran toward danger while others were running away — fulfilling the promise every firefighter makes to serve when help is needed most.
We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember their families, fellow first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed that day.
343 firefighters. 343 brothers. Never forgotten.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of retired Assistant Chief Tom Alldritt.

Tom retired from the Chisago City Fire Department in 2015 after many years of dedicated service to our department and community. During his time with us, Tom served as a firefighter, Captain, Truck Chief, and Assistant Chief.

Tom was the kind of firefighter who was always willing to help, always willing to share what he knew, and—anyone who served with him will appreciate this—always ready with a question or two!

His dedication, leadership, and friendship left a lasting mark on our department and on the firefighters who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Our thoughts are with Tom’s family, friends, and all those who knew him.

Rest easy, Chief. We’ll take it from here.
