We are the family resource center in Chippewa County. We offer support to ALL families with children

River Source Family Center offers a wide array of programs and resources in order to support and strengthen parents with young children. On select Monday mornings we offer Movin' & Groovin' which includes learning and growth through music, song, and dance. On select Tuesday mornings we offer Play & Learns, which provide children with a chance to play and while enjoying interactive learning activit

es, quality time spent with their caregiver, and a story or two. Parents regularly have questions or concerns when raising young children. River Source Family Center provides support to families through a 1-on-1 home visiting program and parent education classes. We even offer a warm line in which parents can call in with questions and talk to a Parent Educator. We also offer families with babies ( 11 months and younger), Baby & Me playgroups that provide the chance to recieve support and resources within the community. Along with that, we offer Parent connection opportunities, Infant Massage, and home visiting programs that promote the healthy development of your child. We work together to keep kids safe!

Miss Amanda found a fantastic resource from Darkness to Light that provides a letter template to inquire what your child(ren)'s school's child sexual abuse prevention policies are. There is a template for preschool and early education, for elementary school, and for middle and high schools.

We hope this becomes part of your back-to-school prep!

In the days since Dolly Parton’s passing, we and Family Support Center have tried to put into words what she means to us. Some of us have been listening to her music more than usual, others are re-watching movies she has starred in or watching interviews she’s given. Miss Amanda showed us pictures from her visit to Dollywood and Miss Becce made some Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa Cake, popularized in Steel Magnolias.

Dolly Parton's impact spans beyond her artistic skills; her philanthropy knew no bounds. Her Imagination Library provides millions of books to kids and families all over the country and our friends at Family Resource Center Inc. have shared how impactful the library has been in Eau Claire County (check it their post at the link here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18qtuGccWt/ or WEAU's coverage here: https://www.weau.com/2026/08/26/eau-claire-nonprofit-speaks-local-impact-late-dolly-partons-imagination-library/ ).
