Spring is a great time to get outside and explore! Outdoor sensory activities can help children engage their senses, build motor skills and enjoy time in nature.

Here are a few simple outdoor sensory activities to try with your child this spring:
- Nature scavenger hunt - look for leaves, flowers, rocks or different textures.
- Sidewalk chalk art - draw pictures, shapes or practice writing letters outside.
- Water play -use cups, buckets or spray bottles to explore pouring and splashing.
- Sensory bins outdoors - fill a bin with sand, dirt or water and add toys.
- Listen to nature - sit quietly and see what sounds you can hear like birds, wind or leaves.

Outdoor play can support learning, creativity and sensory exploration while helping kids enjoy the fresh spring air.

You don't need a full hour, but 10 intentional minutes of fresh air and movement can make a different. Supporting others starts with caring for yourself too!

Keep important documents in one place can make navigating services much easier.

Consider creating a folder of items like evaluation reports, service plans, medical records, school documents and notes from meetings or phone calls. Having these documents organized can be helpful when applying for programs, meeting providers, or just reviewing your child's progress.

It can also help to keep contact information for providers and agencies in the same place so everything is easy to find when you needs it. A little organization now can make future conversations much easier.
