Did it rain? Yes. Are we still in a drought? Yes. Are we still under a burn ban? Yes.
It will take much more rain than what we've had the past few days. Hopefully more rain coming later in the week.

Country Oaks VFD and the Washington County Fire Services has been busy the last few days with calls to brush fires, smoke in the area, as well as structure fires. Country Oaks sent their tanker over to Ebro to help with a structure fire where the residents unfortunately lost everything. Please keep them in your prayers.

We are still under a burn ban If you see someone burning please call 911 immediately!

Our water tank at the station is filled by our well. It has to be manually turned on and off when we need to fill it. If you see the water running over please contact Marie Cunningham or Sophia Henline here on fb you can also call the station phone (850) 676-1825 or Marie at (850) 527-0691. Or go to the Little Store and they can reach out to our volunteers.

🚨 DROUGHT UPDATE – NWFL 🚨

The situation continues to worsen across the Panhandle…

The Extreme Drought area has expanded east toward Pensacola, and now nearly the entire region is in Extreme or Exceptional Drought conditions 🌵📉

This means:
🔥 Elevated wildfire risk
💧 Increasing strain on water resources
🌧️ A growing need for meaningful rainfall

We need rain… and we need it soon. 🙏🌧️

🚫🔥 Burn Ban in Effect – Washington County 🔥🚫

The Washington County Board of County Commissioners has enacted a countywide burn ban, effective immediately.

No outdoor burning of any kind is allowed at this time.

Our current conditions make fires easier to start and much harder to control. This burn ban is in place to help protect lives, property, and our community.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping Washington County safe.

OneBlood will be at the station Saturday from 8am to 2pm. Please come donate!
