Words cannot fully express the tremendous gratitude we have for everyone who helped make our 19th Annual Festival of Speed a resounding success.

Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees, all proceeds from the event will benefit our students. Our organization continues to positively shape the lives of young men and women—just as it did for a young Steve McQueen before his rise to fame.

We’re overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm shown throughout this past weekend. More photos and videos are on the way, but for now, enjoy a few highlights from last the Friends of Steve McQueen Car & Motorcycle Show 2026!

Every summer the Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show brings thousands of spectators to the Boys Republic campus, where 16 year-old Steve McQueen spent time as a student in 1946. Since its start in 2008, the event has raised over $3,500,000 and has helped to attract corporate interest resulting in donations of skilled labor and building materials through the Lowe’s Heroes community improvement project valued at more than $100,000.00.

The Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle show is dedicated to bringing awareness and financial support to the Boys Republic for their efforts to improve the lives of the boys and girls the organization serves and show them they can overcome great obstacles and achieve success as it did for Steve McQueen.

This year’s theme is festival of speed!

The Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show is an automotive gathering and a charity gala held every first weekend in June to raise funds for Boys Republic, a private, non-profit, nonsectarian community for at-risk boys and girls ages 13-17. Established in 2008 by members and friends of the (Porsche) 356 Club of Southern California, the event attracts automobile, motorcycle and off-road motorsports enthusiasts from throughout the world.

Every year, the annual celebration of Steve McQueen includes a Steve McQueen Charity Gala in conjunction with the car and motorcycle show. The dinner is prepared and served by the very own students of the Boys and Girls Republic culinary programs and is capped off by fun and exciting items auctioned for the cause.

After the dinner, we also feature a keynote speaker and live auction event to raise money for Boys Republic. We offer one-of-a-kind events and collectors’ items, including the coveted original show art painting by Nicolas Hunziker.
