Our firefighters did a great job tackling the fire near Alterra Park. Their quick response saved homes. Our partners at Cal Fire helped with helicopters and hand crews to make sure hotspots were handled.

Thank you to our Chino Valley Firefighters, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies and our mutual aid partners who helped to knock down the fire off of Grand Avenue. The humane society came to our Community Center to assist with our four legged residents who were evacuated. Also, thank you to Fox 11 for the chance to talk about the efforts of our City with the fire.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of those moms here in Chino Hills. Between soccer practices, dance recitals and helping with school projects, you are the glue that holds so many families together. I hope you are spoiled today by your kids.

Thank you to third graders for visiting City Hall to learn about local government, have a mock City Council meeting and tour City Hall and the Police Department. These kids were great.

Thank you to all of our City of Chino Hills volunteers who help make our City the community we love. Tonight, we held our 31st annual Volunteer Appreciation dinner and honored the hard work they put into everything from graffiti removal to emergency preparedness. Thanks volunteers!
