The camp ended today with a brisk hike into the canyon just to enjoy being in nature. Would you look at that view!

Canyon de Chelly and Chinle are getting the first large snowfall of winter so far, and it is beautiful. However, with this weather comes the need to prioritize safety during your trips to Canyon de Chelly and other Parks.

Please check weather reports before and during your visits to stay up to date on conditions, dress warm, and be very careful on slippery surfaces while at the overlooks or trails.

Additionally, road conditions can change quickly! Right now, roads are wet and passable but can freeze during the night and early morning.

Have a safe and enjoyable winter!
