In-Person Absentee Voting Starts NEXT WEEK!
General Election (November 3, 2026) In-Person Absentee Voting
will be offered at the City Clerk's Office at City Hall for voters in all wards.

Week #1 of In-Person Absentee Voting:
• Tuesday (10/20/2026): 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Wednesday (10/21/2026): 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Thursday (10/22/2026): 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Friday (10/23/2026): 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Week #2 of In-Person Absentee Voting:
• Monday (10/26/2026): 8:00 AM tp 4:00 PM
• Tueday (10/27/2026): 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Wednesday (10/28/2026): 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Thursday (10/29/2026): 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday (10/30/2026): 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

We need YOUR input!! Give your input by Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5 p.m. Please take a few minutes to complete the Morrisey Park and Chilton Public Library Campus Master Plan Community Survey questions. The City of Chilton is focusing heavily on modernizing infrastructure, improving community spaces, and driving long-term public-private partnerships. When you fill out the survey, consider structuring your feedback around the following pillars:⛲

🍁 City of Chilton Fall Leaf Pick-Up Starts Monday, October 19, 2026! 🍁

The Department of Public Works will be canvassing the entire city through November 17th (as weather allows). There is no need to call City Hall with your address! To help crews stay on schedule and keep our community safe, please follow these guidelines:

✅ DO:
• Pile leaves loosely on the terrace (the grassy area between the sidewalk and the street).
• Separate brush and leaves into distinct piles.
• Keep piles clear of trees, utility poles, mailboxes, and hydrants.
❌ DO NOT:
• Do not rake leaves into the street (this blocks storm sewers, causes flooding, and is a major safety hazard for children).
• Do not bag your leaves for curbside pickup (bagged leaves will not be collected).
• Do not mix trash or garbage with your leaves, as they are used to make clean compost.

🚗 Prefer to drop off?
City residents can bring leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste directly to the City Garage Yard Waste Site at 908 Maple Street (behind Kwik Trip). Free wood chips and compost are also available there for residents when in stock!

In the City of Chilton, recycling ♻ is collected biweekly on Tuesdays, split into two zones based on your location relative to Main Street:
October 2026 Recycling Schedule:
North of Main Street October 6 and 20
South of Main Street October 13 and 27

Collection Guidelines
• Timing: Carts must be placed at the curb by 5:30 AM on Tuesday (or the evening before).
• Placement: Position carts behind the curb line with at least 4 feet of clearance from other objects like mailboxes, trees, or other carts.
• Lid Requirement: The cart lid must be completely closed for pickup.

Time is running out to grab your fresh fall produce, baked goods, and local crafts before the season wraps up! The Chilton Farmers Market has ONLY 3 markets left for the season, ending on October 16, 2026! Make sure you stop in before the end of the season!!

October pick-up dates are the 5th, 12th, 19th, or 26th! Call today to schedule your pick-up!🍃🌳

The City of Chilton offers FREE residential brush collection (brush, branches and tree trimmings) weekly (Monday) on a CALL-IN BASIS ONLY. Contact City Hall at (920) 849-2451 to schedule a pick up. Brush must be no larger than 6 inches in diameter, uniformly piled and placed parallel to the street with cut ends lying in the same direction. The City of Chilton does not accept brush, branches or tree trimmings at the City Garage Yard Waste Disposal Site.

We need YOUR input!! Please take a few minutes to complete the Morrisey Park and Library Campus Master Plan Community Survey questions. The City of Chilton is focusing heavily on modernizing infrastructure, improving community spaces, and driving long-term public-private partnerships. When you fill out the survey, consider structuring your feedback around the following pillars:⛲
Morrissey Park Enhancements: This 12-acre hub has been a core transition project since the high school relocated. Past community feedback highlighted strong interest in specific upgrades such as a modern splash pad or seasonal water play areas, updating the tennis courts, winter ice skating rink, and/or preserving the historic football field and track.
The Chilton Public Library Campus ("Next Chapter") Facility assessments revealed that the existing library infrastructure is aging and lacks the spatial flexibility required for modern services. Important elements to champion in your response include: Expanded public computer layouts, high-speed Wi-Fi access, and spaces tailored for remote work or job seekers. Clearly divided zones for quiet study, a collaborative tech/maker space, and energetic spaces for children and teens. Upgrading infrastructure (HVAC, lighting) to meet strict energy-efficiency and mobility standards.🤝

Exciting News!! Starting today, the northeast corner and playground area at Klinkner Park will be closed for the remainder of the season while City of Chilton staff begin to prepare the site for the park’s revitalization. The rest of the park will remain open during the construction phases, therefore all remaining Farmer’s Markets will take place as planned despite the construction in the area. As part of this project, the park will receive the following upgrades:
• Poligon Shelter
• New Playground Equipment and Border
• New Park Light Fixtures
• Renovations to existing shelter
• Pickleball Courts with Rental Kiosk
This project is being completed by Hammann Construction. We ask that you please avoid the immediate area (see map for exact location) while the site is under construction.

While construction is being completed, be sure to check out either Riverside Park or the all inclusive playground at Nennig Park.

Mark your calendars, ghosts and ghouls! The City of Chilton’s official Trick-or-Treat hours are Sunday, October 25th, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Parents and drivers, please keep these quick safety tips in mind:
🔦 Stay visible with flashlights, glow sticks, or reflective tape.
🚶 Stick to sidewalks and look both ways before crossing.
🍫 Parents, please inspect all treats before little monsters eat them.
💡 If you are handing out candy, turn your porch light ON!
