From the bottom of my heart, I want to take a moment to thank EVERY single person, business, organization, and agency that donated, volunteered, helped, shared our posts, or contributed in any way to make Candy With a Cop possible here in Chillicothe.

As Chief of Police, one of the things that means the most to me is being able to build relationships with our community and create moments that our children will remember. Seeing people come together, give out of the kindness of their hearts, and support something that brings smiles to our kids' faces is a reminder of what community is truly supposed to look like.

Whether you donated money, candy, your time, supplies, or simply offered a helping hand, please know that YOU mattered, and your contribution made a difference. It takes a village to make something like this happen, and I am beyond grateful for every single person who stepped up and helped us make it happen.

I may wear the badge and the title of Chief, but at the end of the day, I'm just a person who genuinely loves this community and wants to see our kids smile, feel safe, and know that their local law enforcement officers care about them. ❤️

To everyone who stood behind this event, believed in it, and helped bring it to life, THANK YOU! Your generosity did not go unnoticed, and I hope you know how much I appreciate each and every one of you.

Chillicothe, this is what community looks like. Neighbors helping neighbors, people giving without expecting anything in return, and a town coming together for its children.

🚨😂 **A MESSAGE FROM CHIEF BECK & THE CHILLICOTHE POLICE DEPARTMENT** 😂🚨

Well, Chillicothe… we had one of our patrol units parked along the highway doing what it was supposed to do: **SLOW TRAFFIC DOWN.** Apparently, one of our citizens decided we needed a little decorating, so they left us a friendly reminder asking, *“Where’s Barney?”* 🤣💀

First of all, I appreciate the creativity. The commitment to the joke? Impressive. The audacity? Absolutely unmatched. 😂

Second, I can assure you that Barney is NOT missing, and our patrol vehicle was not abandoned. It was strategically positioned to remind folks that the speed limit is not merely a suggestion. 🤦‍♀️😂

Now, to the citizen responsible: **I see you. I appreciate the humor. But bless your heart, you could've at least bought us dinner before putting stickers on our windshield.** 🤣🤣

We work hard to keep this community safe, and apparently, we now provide roadside entertainment, too. You're welcome. 😂

Just remember, folks… we can take a joke, but let's keep the decorations off city property next time. 😉

💙 Chillicothe, I could use your help! 💙

Is there anyone who could build a Blessing Box for our community? I would love to have a sturdy, weatherproof box where people can donate nonperishable food and basic necessities for neighbors who need a little extra help.

The idea is simple: Take what you need. Leave what you can. ❤️

On behalf of the Chillicothe Police Department, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff for your assistance and support today.

Today was a prime example of what we can accomplish when we pull together. Your willingness to step up, lend a hand, and stand beside a neighboring agency means more than words can express. I am truly grateful for your teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to the communities we serve.

Please know that the same support extends right back to y’all. Whenever you need me, I’m only a phone call away.

🎄🚔 Help Make a Child’s Christmas Brighter! 🚔🎄

The Chillicothe Police Department is preparing for Shop with a Cop on December 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Walmart in Vernon, and I need our community’s help to make it happen!

This year, I will be taking six children Christmas shopping:

🎁 One boy and one girl from High School
🎁 One boy and one girl from Middle School
🎁 One boy and one girl from Elementary School

I will not personally be choosing the children. I will receive a list of the six students who will participate.

I would love for our local businesses, individuals, and community organizations to help by sponsoring a child or making a donation toward their shopping. Sponsoring a child means helping cover the cost of that child’s Christmas purchases. Donations of any amount are welcome and will help make this day special.

This is about more than presents, it’s about making sure these kids feel cared for, supported, and remembered this Christmas. ❤️
