Station 3 was dispatched to the 1500 block of Highway 107 for a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision.
Medic 3 and Truck 3 arrived to find a motorcycle that had been struck from the rear by a passenger vehicle. The motorcycle traveled approximately 300 feet before coming to rest. The rider was found in the roadway with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Medic 3 transported the patient to the landing zone, where H.E.A.R.T. 4 assumed care and airlifted the patient to a regional trauma center. Engine 3 responded to establish the landing zone.

Please remember to stay alert and maintain a safe following distance, especially around motorcycles.

Tones set: 05:04PM. Working Structure Fire in the 1200 block of Cleghorn Valley Rd. Initial reports indicated a garage fire, with multiple vehicles inside. The Auto Aid assignment added Station 9 and 4. Additionally, Battalion 3 added Station 1 for EMS coverage.

Engine 3 and Battalion 3 arrived on scene, finding a single story garage with heavy fire throughout and nearby exposures. E-3’s crew deployed two 1 3/4 lines and initiated defensive fire attack and exposure protection.

Station 9 arrived on scene, deploying one additional 1 3/4, while also assuming water supply operations. Station 6 was then added to the assignment for an additional tanker.

The cause of the fire was undetermined.

Please refrain from burning outdoors and use extreme caution with anything that could spark a fire.

Dry conditions can cause fires to spread rapidly.

While transporting a patient to a nearby hospital, Medic 3 encountered heavy traffic at the 35 MM I-81SB, creating a stand still. Upon further investigation, M-3 found an MVC with a truck and overturned camper blocking I-81SB.

Due to the patient’s condition from the previous call, Air transport was requested to continue transport. After informing dispatch of the incident, Truck 3 and Chief 3 arrived on scene, securing the 34.7MM SB for an LZ, which Med Flight would eventually land at. The patient was successfully transferred to Med Flight and transport continued.

No injuries were reported from the MVC, as I-81SB remained closed for an extended period of time until the camper and vehicle were removed.

Station 3 was dispatched to the 1500 block of Highway 107 at 08:27 for a reported tractor trailer rollover. Chief 3, Medic 3, and Truck 3 responded.

Upon arrival, crews found a log truck hauling logs overturned, coming to rest upright along the roadway. The driver was entrapped inside due to the extensive damage to the cab. Crews worked to safely extricate the driver and lower him to the stretcher. The patient was then transported by EMS to a local hospital with stable, non-life-threatening injuries.

All units cleared the scene after the roadway was cleared of the incident.

Tones set: 12:44pm. Large debris fire, in the 300 block of Whitetop Rd.

Chief 3 and Engine 3 arrived on scene, finding multiple bales of compacted metal, as well as one non-compacted vehicle involved.

Engine 3’s crew immediately deployed one 1 3/4 line to the involved area, knocking down the bulk of the fire. Wagon 3 arrived on scene, performing a reverse lay to a nearby hydrant and establishing water supply.

Operations switched to overhaul, where E-3’s personnel ensured all hotspots were extinguished.
