We have a new conqueror of the Five over 5000 Challenge! 🏔️🎉

Today, we are celebrating Michelle Waring, one of our newest challengers! Michelle took on the adventure of exploring Virginia’s highest peaks and successfully conquered all five summits in the Five over 5000 Challenge.

For Michelle, the experience was a first visit to this part of the country, and one that left a lasting impression. With incredible mountain views and plenty to explore along the way, she discovered just how much Southwest Virginia has to offer!

Golf, prizes, and a great cause!⛳️

There are plenty of reasons to join us for the 3rd Annual Woolly Golf Tournament on September 19th, but we can give you a few more if you need them!😉

Get your team together for a day of community support and golf at the Saltville Golf Club! The Woolly Golf Tournament is not just fun, but is an important fundraiser for the Friends of The Museum of the Middle Appalachians. Funds raised at the tournament will help with projects such as making much needed building repairs, maintenance for Woolly and Little Salty, a shelter for Woolly, expanding displays, and preserving the Museum for future generations.

While you're there, don't forget to get your raffle tickets for a chance to win a TaylorMade Golf Spider X Putter! Raffle tickets may be purchased before, during, or after the tournament at the Saltville Golf Club.

Witches Night Out is BACK! 🖤🧙‍♀️

Grab your broomsticks and gather your coven for the 4th Annual Witches Night Out on October 23rd, 2026, beginning at 5:30pm!

Our coven will take flight through downtown Marion, making stops at local businesses along the way. Each stop will offer something special, including drinks, sweet treats, shopping discounts, and more!

Registration is required!✨
Witches who register by October 19th are guaranteed to receive Witches Night Out swag. Registration will remain open through the day of the event, but swag is not guaranteed for those who register after October 19th.
