On 09/03/26 Chiefland Fire responded with Levy County Department of Public Safety and Levy County Sheriff's Office to the area CR 347 and NW 46 Ln for an over turned dump truck that was fully loaded. CR 347 was closed for an extended period while the roadway was cleared. FHP investigating the crash

Today Chiefland Fire responded with Fanning Springs Fire Rescue Levy County Department of Public Safety, Levy County Sheriff's Office, Chiefland Police Department to the area just north of the intersection of US 19 and NW 140th St for a single vehicle accident. First arriving units observed a pickup truck that over turned. Crews quickly and efficiently stabilized the patient. FHP responded to the scene and investigating the crash.

On 07/23/26 Chiefland Fire along with Levy County Department of Public Safety and Chiefland Police Department responded to 500 W Park Ave for a reported structure fire. First arriving units located an upstairs apartment with smoke and flames visible. Crews quickly deployed an attack line and conducted an offensive attack, extinguishing the fire before it could spread to adjacent apartments. A primary and secondary seach was conducted and revealed no one was in the apartment.

Unfortunately some families were displaced due to fire damage. The American Red Cross of North and Central Florida responded to provide families affected by the fire with assistance.

Fanning Springs Fire Rescue staged between Fanning and Chiefland and provided zone coverage during this incident.
