๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Grateful for an incredible day at Westover Family Day! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Director Stephanie and Deputy Director Jonathan were proud to represent Chicopee Veteransโ€™ Services and connect with so many Veterans and military families who stopped by to speak with us about benefits, resources, and support available to them.

We truly appreciate every conversation, every handshake, and every story shared with us. Events like this are a great reminder of why community matters โ€” and why weโ€™re honored to serve those who served.

Thank you to Westover for welcoming us and for putting together such a great day for our military community and their families. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 - 25 YEARS LATER, WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Today, the Chicopee Department of Veteransโ€™ Services joins our community and our nation in solemn remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the memory of that day โ€” and the courage, sacrifice, compassion, and unity that followed โ€” remains with us.

We remember the innocent lives taken at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93. We honor the firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens who answered an unimaginable moment with extraordinary courage.

We also remember the first responders, rescue and recovery workers, survivors, and others who have suffered or lost their lives from illnesses connected to the aftermath of September 11.

For our Veterans community, September 11 carries another lasting significance. A generation of Americans answered the call to serve in the years that followed, beginning more than two decades of military service and sacrifice by our nationโ€™s men and women in uniform.

Today, we honor all who were lost, all who responded, all who served, and all whose lives were forever changed.

May we continue to share the stories of September 11 with generations who were not yet born or are too young to remember, ensuring that its lessons of courage, service, resilience, and unity are never forgotten.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 25 Years Later โ€” We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.
