Today, we remember and honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their bravery, sacrifice, and dedication continue to inspire us, and we remain deeply grateful for the freedoms they helped protect.

As a school community, we reflect on their legacy with respect, gratitude, and unity, and we encourage all to take a moment today to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Please note that all Chicopee Public Schools and district offices are closed today in observance of Memorial Day.

Students and families in grades 3–12 are invited to attend the first-ever Aerospace Career Day at the New England Air Museum this Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

This exciting, family-friendly event is designed to inspire young people to explore future careers in aerospace by showcasing the many opportunities within the industry. Attendees will have the chance to meet representatives from local flight schools, aerospace companies, nonprofit organizations, military branches, and post-secondary programs while learning more about careers in aviation, engineering, technology, and beyond.

Families can also enjoy hands-on aviation skills demonstrations, climb inside aircraft cockpits, and participate in interactive experiences throughout the day. Food will be available for purchase onsite from Twin Beaks Food Trucks.

The event is presented in partnership with Fly Lugu.
