Yesterday, Officer Pape got to help Girl Scout Troop 580 during one of their meetings. He assigned them "top secret missions" that encouraged them to be curious, kind, respectful, honest, courageous, helpful, observant and willing to learn – qualities great detectives and great Girl Scouts share!

Ice Cream with a Cop is at Chick-fil-A Chickasha this Saturday! Stop by between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. to enjoy free ice cream, courtesy of Chick-fil-A, and meet Chickasha Police Officers. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Please join us to congratulate Detective Sergeant Scott Ely on his selection to attend the 21st OSBI Agents Academy! This outstanding opportunity reflects Sgt. Ely's dedication to professional growth and his commitment to serving the citizens of Chickasha. We are proud of his accomplishment and know the knowledge he gains will further strengthen our department.

This week, we kicked off the 21st OSBI Agents Academy! We welcomed 39 law enforcement officers from 24 different agencies across Oklahoma.

For the first day, the class was welcomed by Director Greg Mashburn and Deputy Director Steven Carter. We also appreciate Oklahoma Highway Patrol Chief Joe Williams and FBI - Oklahoma City Assistant Special Agent in Charge Joe Ogden for being our guest speakers.

We're looking forward to the rest of our academy!

The Municipal Court's Food for Fines food drive is still ongoing!

During the food drive, those with active municipal court fines can drop off non-perishable food items and receive a reduced fine on active tickets with the Chickasha Municipal Court Clerk, up to a maximum credit of $100 per individual. The community is also invited to donate items to benefit the Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry.

Join us at Chick-fil-A Chickasha on Saturday, August 1 for Ice Cream with a Cop! Chick-fil-A will be serving free ice cream from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., and citizens will have the chance to meet and talk to Chickasha police officers.

We would like to recognize Officer James Greenleaf, who was recently honored with the Oklahoma Basic Police Academy's Jarod Taylor Award. This award is presented to the cadet who best exemplifies leadership, willingness to assist others, compassion, and intelligence. Congratulations, Officer Greenleaf, and thank you for your service!
