World Technology Center

World Technology Center The World Technology Center (WTC) is a proposed global innovation hub in Chicago. Chryslar. Its proposed site plan is near the I-290 in Downtown Chicago.

It would be dedicated to STEM and foster scientific research and development, education, industry, and public life into a single, unified ecosystem. The World Technology Center is a visionary infrastructure project that aims to bring together and facilitate greater advances in international STEM. Planned to be built in Chicago, the complex incorporates a reincarnation of the Twin Towers. The visio

nary project aims to facilitate greater advances in international STEM - fostering more efficient engineering and technology developments between nations, bring together talented people, provide the freedom of information of new scientific and technological breakthroughs, and expand education and knowledge. The project is founded by British author, aerospace engineer and aspring architect Raphael J. For the moment the project is in its infancy, and yet to be formally pitched to news and investors. It shall be the biggest science center the world has ever seen, and as well as being the tallest twin towers in the Western Hemisphere, it shall have a diverse array of science laboratories, engineering workshops, office space, a museum, libraries, lecture rooms, restaurants, parks, outdoor observation decks, a new sandy beach, an underground shopping center and an exhibition auditorium. It's original plan was to be situated right in the basin of the Ohio Street Beach near ‘the Loop’ and facing Lake Michigan. As New York becomes overcrowded with ugly glass shards, and California becomes more of a dystopia, it’s time to shift the world market of technology to America’s third biggest city which is in dire need of new jobs and great infrastructure. The World Tech Center twin towers aspire to restore that iconic symbol of strength and cooperation, as a reincarnation of the original World Trade Center. The 460 m high towers represent Science and Technology, which together go hand in hand.

We’re grateful to see continued media interest in the World Technology Center initiative. To clarify: the project is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 a data center.

It is a public STEM research and education campus designed to support scientific advancement, collaboration, and future innovation.

We’ve also seen references to ‘advanced laser defense’ concepts in recent coverage.

To clarify: these are early-stage, exploratory ideas, not core components of the project.

We appreciate the coverage and look forward to sharing more details soon.

Today is .
👩‍🔬🔬
Science is by definition: the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained. Our view of science is the foundation of progress, shaping how we understand the world and how we build for the future; and this principle leads into the definition of technology.

Technology is the application of scientific knowledge, tools, techniques, and systems to solve practical problems, improve efficiency, or simplify human life. From engineering and medicine to energy and space exploration, its impact reaches every aspect of modern life.

Our vision is to celebrate and elevate science by making it visible, accessible, and integrated into everyday urban experience. We believe the future of cities lies in bringing together research, education, industry, and public life—creating STEM environments where innovation is not hidden, but shared.

As part of this mission, we’ve recently submitted our vision for Chicago’s future to the Horizon Lines initiative by World Business Chicago, contributing to the conversation on how cities can evolve as global hubs for science and innovation.

"The future will be built on knowledge, and science will lead the way"

As the World Technology Center vision gains public attention, especially with the release of this article, https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15665337/twin-towers-replica-chicago-proposal-world-technology-center.html we’re seeing a range of interpretations of the project.

To clarify: The project is currently in the concept development and feasibility phase. It is not a replica, but a modern, reimagined development inspired by the original World Trade Center, with a new purpose in science and technology.

A visionary infrastructure project in Chicago

01/04/2026

In addition to our upcoming press kit and documentary release in late spring 2026, we're developing a comprehensive, peer-reviewed report that will explore:
1) The full context of our visionary project;
2) The historical background of the original World Trade Center;
3) The dedicated efforts by Kenneth Gardner, Herbert Belton, and Donald Trump on Twin Towers II;
4) The objective reasons why their proposal was abandoned amid private development by Silverstein Properties on the WTC site;
5) A cultural and ethical review of restoring the Twin Towers with enhanced purpose and safety features, drawing on MSNBC polls, the Twin Towers Alliance (with nearly 10,000 signatures from 9/11 families and the community), a New York Post article and other key references;
6) Justification for reigniting American ambition and restoration, defying past fear and terror; and
7) An evaluated funding and development strategy, including all contingencies.

This marks our final social media update on this page until the formal unveiling and aforementioned publications. For interim updates, head to our website at www.worldtechcenter.org or our LinkedIn page. Thank you for your attention.

Today, we kickstart the new year with our latest announcement and vision ahead:
Our project’s founder, Raphael Chryslar, has visited the City of Chicago in December 2025.
He had arranged a meeting with the planning representative - specifically the aldermen who have jurisdiction over the proposed site. The zone between S. Desplaines, W. Harrison, W. Taylor, and S. Canal streets, is governed by both the 25 and 28th wards. Chryslar conversed with the staff and shared our website, technical drawings and general information with them. Byron Sigho-López and his associates expressed interest in our proposal, including brief remarks at how the complex would have the potential to draw talent and STEM businesses to the city, in addition to boosting government and private-sector revenues. He has subsequently passed on our information and idea to the 28th ward alderman (Jason C. Ervin) as well as the other planning teams at City Hall and the mayor. We have secured direct contacts and they have requested our team to keep in touch internally as the project evolves. In addition, Byron had advised our founder to also consider our alternate list of cities (detailed on our website) in addition to providing them our press kit and environmental and logistical strategy in detail as soon as it is published.

In addition, Chryslar also visited CBS studios just opposite City Hall and shared the website with one of the journalists. While we keep his name confidential at this time, Chryslar has been briefed on an opportunity for an interview upon the publication of our comprehensive press kit and documentary.

Therefore, our goals for 2026 are to first conduct an extensive literature review on these three fields:

* Tenants that may be interested in moving to the World Tech Center,
* National and international investment banks and firms that may be interested in backing our proposal,
* Research on what economic and science problems the WTC can offer to solve,

Next, the development of the press kit and documentary will cover the aforementioned topics in addition to our backstory, history, sitemap, and the value proposition. We aim to publish these by May/June 2026. Assuming everything progresses closely to plan, we may secure our slot for formal news unveiling no earlier than late June 2026, in time for the 4th of July celebrations - the United States Semiquincentennial or America250.

As we move forward with this New Year’s Resolution, we will be drastically reducing the frequency of subsequent posts on this page (except major announcements) as our team works internally with our network. Thank you for your attention.

Along S. Desplaines street is the west entrance to the Richard P. Feynman Plaza. In between the Chemistry and Physics buildings would be an Apple Store. Inspired by the cube design of the one in front of the General Motors building in New York City, this glass cylinder would also have wooden and marble accents. Surrounding it would be a magnificent limestone and granite staircase adorned with a range of tree species. It would also have two green glass elevators on either side as well as the west entrances to the mall and STEM library.

The Festive Holiday Season has begun in Chicago, and no better way than to announce the first renders of our elegant Christmas tree. From inspiration of the one at the Rockefeller Center, this tree would be a Norwegian Spruce around 80 feet or 24 meters high, standing tall above the Richard P. Feynman Plaza, overlooking the circular ice-skating rink below.
