We change lives through the power of nature. The Garfield Park Conservatory opened to the public in April 1908, and has been dazzling visitors with its extensive plant collection ever since. The Conservatory is open every day of the year, and admission is free (some events and exhibits have a suggested donation to enter). Free parking is available just south of the main entrance. Conservatory Alliance is a non-profit organization housed in the Conservatory, providing all the events, activities, workshops and programs. The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance is a 501(c)3 organization.

One of our 10 outdoor acres is dedicated to our Urban Demonstration Garden. Visitors can learn about community and organic gardening in Chicago in this working garden. Find space-saving and above-ground growing methods, composting information and a wide variety of flowers, herbs and vegetables. All produce grown here is donated to the Garfield Park Farmers Market and local food pantries. Last year we donated over 2,300 pounds of produce, and we're working hard to beat that number this year!
