We had such an exciting morning gathering with League friends on June 12 in beautiful Cantigny Park, where we enjoyed a delicious brunch, toasted the League’s work to make Illinois’ democracy stronger every single day, and honored U.S. Senator Dick Durbin with the inaugural ‘Champion of Democracy’ award, recognizing a distinguished Illinoisan who has served our state by exemplifying democratic values.

Thank you so much to our wonderful speakers, Congressman Bill Foster, Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Chicago Regimantas Jablonskas, and incoming LWVUS President Sania Irwin—and thank you to everyone else who came out to join us and support the League cause! 🇺🇸🥞☕️
