ICE's five-day occupation of Indiana resulted in 426 people kidnapped, leaving hundreds of devastated and separated families.

The overwhelming majority of those people have absolutely no criminal record.

In fact, ICE's recent press release boasting their arrest numbers highlighted only six people with criminal convictions.

ICE sent the hundreds of Hoosiers arrested during the surge to DHS concentration camps with rampant medical neglect, inhumane conditions, inedible food, and contaminated water.

Many were sent to the Miami Correctional Facility north of Indianapolis, where two people have already died from neglected medical emergencies this year.

Others were sent to the North Lake Processing Center in Michigan, where earlier this year hundreds of people made the courageous and dangerous choice to go on hunger strike, in protest of North Lake violating their rights. Individuals in one unit were seen holding ‘SOS’ signs up to their windows.

ICE's recent surge in Indiana forced over 400 more people into these horrific conditions, arbitrarily without any due process.

In the week leading up to the surge, the number of ICE flights departing from Indianapolis Airport more than doubled -- presumably to increase detention capacity ahead of the operation.

And while families spent a week scared to go outside, attend school or work, or even get essential supplies... The Indiana State Police cashed in.

ACLU Indiana reported that ISP is receiving $30 million in federal dollars to increase surveillance and collude with ICE's efforts.

The $30 million program will operate for 3-5 years across every county in Indiana. It seeks to expand 287(g) agreements, increase arrests, and gather intelligence on civilians. It's part of a larger trend of intense collaboration between ICE and the State of Indiana.

According to ACLU Indiana, the state's new law SEA 76 forces local governments and jails to cooperate with ICE under threat of punishment from the attorney general for non-compliance.

They also reported that Indiana State Police has at least 185 troopers "trained" and certified by ICE.

ICE is beating American teenagers and mocking them while they do it.

Two 17-year-old children in Alamo, Texas, got in the car last week to hand in their enlistment papers for the Marines.

Both are American citizens.

(Not that it should matter -- no one should be physically assaulted by ICE, regardless of citizenship status).

On the way to enlist, they stopped to film ICE agents kidnapping parents outside an elementary school, and that decision got them pepper-sprayed and beaten.

Video shows agents dragging one of the boys from the car and punching him in the face over and over while he lay on the pavement.

The teens told the agents they were citizens.

The answer they got back was, "I don't give a damn. Your parents can't help you now."

Now DHS is calling them 'anti-ICE agitators' -- despite them making absolutely no effort to resist the arrest or physical assault. Even though their decision to record agents was completely constitutional.

The two of them were held captive for nearly eight hours before ICE let them go.

Neither one plans to enlist anymore, and one of the teens’ mothers asked the question that should haunt every official in Washington.

"How are they supposed to serve a country that will not uphold their basic rights?"

An agent who pins a bleeding teenager to the pavement and says "I don't give a damn" about his citizenship is a man certain he will never face consequences.

Nobody in this administration will discipline the agents who threw those punches.

Secretary Mullin runs an agency so far off the leash that its agents beat citizen children on camera and expect nothing to come of it.

Secretary Hegseth runs a military hemorrhaging recruits while the administration he serves drives away the willing few.

Between the two of them, unchecked violence and cruelty have merged into a single policy.

A policy where beating up literal children for practicing their constitutional rights is just another Friday.

State-sanctioned child abuse.

A young child, unable to hug their parent for months on end.

A father, unable to feel his baby's first kicks.

A family, unable to hug their loved one goodbye before they're deported without due process.

That is the cruel reality for families with loved ones being held at the California City Detention Center.

A recent report by Victoria Valenzuela (TRUTHOUT) has revealed that CoreCivic banned all contact visits there.

It is the only one in the state of California to do so.

Meaning that children can only see their parents through plexiglass.

That fathers cannot hold their newborn babies.

That when a loved one has a terminal illness, they don't even get to hug goodbye.

Many families have no way to connect with their loved ones beyond pricey phone calls -- which cost between 7 and 25 cents per minute, or up to $15 per hour.

(And the majority of the people held captive by ICE in these cruel facilities have no criminal record.)

At least seven dorms within the camp have written letters to the warden asking for him to bring back contact visits.

The broader California City communities are also pushing back -- and so can you.

A campaign called Hugs Beyond Bars has collected over 1,200 signatures calling for the immediate reinstatement of contact visits.

ICE occupied a peaceful Maryland neighborhood for two days, beating up residents who were practicing nonviolence and tormenting the community.

Masked agents ambushed and physically assaulted a group of neighbors linking arms around a community member's home, all without ever presenting a warrant.

Kids commuting from school were terrorized by ICE agents standing ominously at their bus stops.

They even drove their vehicles onto the sidewalk and into people's yards, trying to run residents over -- which is considered assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.

The vehicles had no license plates and were completely tinted.

They beat people up to the point of hospitalization.

They tormented a peaceful community non-stop.

And while people were crying out for help, the Frederick police stood by, refusing to intervene.

ICE didn't even present a warrant to the police. The police chief, Kevin Meyer, said that agents told him they "have no requirement to show [the police] even anything.”

When asked for a warrant, ICE said, “We’re not gonna discuss that with you.”

FPD also did not verify that the masked, armed men approaching a community member's home and assaulting the people outside were actually federal agents.

Nor did they step in when the people they are meant to serve and protect were being brutally beaten by those agents.

People who are now unable to return to work, facing long roads to recovery, and accruing medical debt.

FPD will not be investigating the excessive force used against civilians by ICE.

From psychological torture to denying life-saving medications, ICE puts trans people's lives in danger.

(CW: transphobia, medical violence, SA, SH/SI)

A recent report by LOOKOUT found at least 20 trans women in ICE captivity across Arizona and Colorado.

One of those women is being held captive at the 'Eloy Detention Center' concentration camp in Arizona.

She was only supposed to serve a two-day sentence, but has been in ICE captivity for over six months.

Guards have mocked her, ruthlessly interrogated her despite doing nothing wrong, and even forced her into solitary confinement for nine days.

The U.N. considers prolonged solitary confinement a form of torture.

Almost all trans women are held in men's units -- where the risks of assault from prison guards are extreme.

And last December, Trump's DOJ took out the protections for LGBTQ+ prisoners from the Prison R*pe Elimination Act (PREA).

Then this February, the Federal Bureau of Prisons announced that they will stop providing gender-affirming care -- or even social transition support -- to trans people.

This constitutes a violation of the Eighth Amendment, which protects people from cruel and unusual punishment.

The impacts of hormone therapy deprivation are beyond cruel.

For trans women, being cut off from HRT causes dangerous symptoms that can be deadly.

The symptoms mimic rapid-onset menopause, and can include high-risk depression, mood dysregulation, hot flashes, and even SH/SI.

HRT-deprivation also worsens gender dysphoria in a population whose identities are already mocked by their captors.

“It messes up your body... Like it’s eating you up inside," said one woman who spent eight months in ICE captivity.

By forcefully detransitioning trans people, ICE is torturing them and putting their lives in danger.

All without due process.

It is no surprise that Governor Jim Pillen exploits undocumented workers while simultaneously sicking ICE after their communities.

Pillen Family Farms is one of the largest hog producers in the U.S., with farms across the Midwest and Canada.

With a labor force of 1,200, Pillen has a long history of employing undocumented people. At least 20 Pillen farms have employed undocumented workers.

Governor Jim Pillen is a Trump-backed politician who told the Nebraska State Patrol to collude with ICE.

He's letting ICE use a former state prison to hold hundreds of people in captivity without due process.

While in office, he has helped ICE deport almost 1,000 people. Since January 2025, 3,000 people have been arrested by ICE in Nebraska.

All the while, he's profiting off of the labor of the very undocumented people he uses as scapegoats.

People who he forces to work long hours in gruesome conditions for hardly any pay.

A feeding tube surgically forced into a hunger striker's stomach against their will.

That's the fate that awaits a Cuban hunger striker at GEO Group's 'Montgomery Processing Center' concentration camp outside Houston.

(CW: description of medical torture)

A Trump-appointed judge recently gave ICE the okay to cut into a man's abdomen and anchor a tube through the abdominal wall directly into his stomach.

The surgery is most often performed without general anesthesia.

Meaning he'll likely be awake when his stomach is cut open against his will.

A court order had recently allowed ICE to force-feed the individual using a nasally inserted feeding tube.

The standard practice in these cases is already brutal, with guards holding a person down and pushing a tube through the nose and down the throat to pump liquid into the stomach.

He is at least the 19th hunger striker since January 2025 whom ICE has gotten court approval to forcibly ‘treat’ with a nasal feeding tube -- a record.

But surgically implanting a feeding tube in someone on a hunger strike takes that horror to a whole new level.

Strip away the medical terminology and you are looking at medical torture, the kind that used to face war crimes tribunals.

When ICE isn't torturing its captives, it’s letting them waste away in conditions designed to kill.

160 emergency calls have been documented from the tent camp at Fort Bliss. On one of the tapes, a nurse begs for a hospital transfer while a man who swallowed an object writhes on the floor behind her.

Another nurse reported a COVID patient gasping in a facility with no supplemental oxygen.

Families of people experiencing medical emergencies have even dialed 911 from other states because Fort Bliss would not.

Three men died there in a six-week stretch there, and a medical examiner even ruled one of those deaths a homicide after guards assaulted a mentally ill man.

The conditions inside ICE captivity are deadly. And when people protest those conditions, they are tortured.

Even sources on the U.S. government's own National Library of Medicine confirm that force-feeding is torture.

ICE and DHS are spending millions to keep hiding the worst of the worst among their agents.

Instead of training its agents to stop needlessly assaulting and murdering people, DHS signed a $15 million contract with an AI firm called ZeroFox to build tools that make agents harder to identify.

ZeroFox says it will hunt across social media and the dark web for anything that could identify an ICE employee and scrub it.

An agency this determined to stay anonymous already knows they’re committing crimes against the public and is determined to continue.

The agents who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti are still being protected by this administration, and the Justice Department refuses to open a case against any of them.

They hid the truth about ICE's murder of Ruben Ray Martinez for a year, and the killer's identity is still unknown.

Texas Governor Abbott spent weeks running out a clock so Christian Castro could walk free of his state charges.

Now DHS is spending millions to make sure the next murderous agent never gets named in the first place.

What's more, two officials told reporters they suspect that ZeroFox’s tech will end up hunting whistleblowers inside the agency rather than protecting anyone.

The same tools that trace where an agent's name leaked work just as well in reverse.

ICE could easily seed information internally, then trace it back from a reporter's story to whoever passed it along. Making the risks of whistleblowing even more severe.

ZeroFox has history here too.

They once handed Baltimore police a list of peaceful Black Lives Matter organizers and labeled them as threats.

Now DHS is giving ZeroFox millions of taxpayer dollars to shield criminal ICE agents.
