In August of 2000, ZAM’s Hope was incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 not for profit. Since then, ZAM’s Hope has expanded to serve men, women, and children from over 12 different ethnic backgrounds. Most reside in the neighborhoods of West Rogers Park and West Ridge. Among the most common are poverty, language barrier, domestic violence, homelessness, stress created by two competing cultures and their exp

ectations, unemployment, difficulty negotiating mainstream systems, and immigration issues. Now, and for the past twenty-two years, Zehra has personally powered ZAM’s Hope as an engine of hope for those who struggle in pursuit of their dreams. As the organization’s Founder, Zehra has galvanized Chicago’s leaders to answer the call to true community service. Over the past years of operation, Zehra Quadri, ZAM’s Hope has been recognized by various organizations for its commendable services to the global humanity. ZAM’s Hope is open to all without regard for religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, income, or sexual orientation. Zehra Quadri is a single mother who discovered first-hand the lack of services available to underprivileged individuals in Chicago. As she worked through the cultural stigma of divorce and struggled to make ends meet for herself and her two daughters, she also began planning how she would help others who were experiencing similar problems. At first, Zehra began offering emergency services from her home, using her own resources, support from her two daughters, and local donors. Zehra was working two full time jobs to meet their needs. We offer culturally appropriate services, managed by an executive director and a board of directors, 99% of whom are members of the community they serve. Services include:

We would like to humbly request your support by donating land, building or funds to achieve our vision. Our Executive Director and Founder, Zehra Quadri's dream is to leave a legacy by purchasing a paid building for the community where unfortunate individuals can get the support and keep serving, that is why we are creating this Milestone in the hope of making her "Last Wish" come true.
