🇭🇹 The federal administration’s termination of Haiti’s Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will take effect on February 3, 2026.

🇸🇴 Somalia’s TPS termination, announced on January 12, 2026, will take effect on March 17, 2026.

The Department of State announced an indefinite pause on immigrant visa issuance for 75 countries, set to take effect today, January 21, 2026. 
 
As immigration policies continue to shift rapidly and the legal framework remains highly convoluted, we encourage individuals to consult with a qualified immigration attorney or an organization with DOJ legal service accreditation.

Family Reunification Parole (FRP) for some countries was set to end today, January 14, 2026, but was temporarily blocked by a court order.

For FRP beneficiaries, this order means that your FRP parole will NOT expire on January 14, 2026.

The court order will be in place until January 24, 2026.

While this temporary order is in effect, the court may issue a decision on our request for a longer pause on terminations.

The recent Trump administration travel ban and restrictions to asylum and other lawful immigration pathways are a dangerous escalation of discriminatory, xenophobic policy.  
 
These policy changes throw thousands of families into greater uncertainty, undermining years of effort, stability, and hope. We reject policies rooted in fear and racism. We affirm the dignity and humanity of all people.

This workshop creates a space for community members in the West Ridge community who are most at risk to connect with a trusted organization, learn best practices when interacting with federal immigration enforcement agents, and how to equip yourself and your family with available resources offered through our partners and office. 

For those unable to join us in-person, we’re offering a livestream option to join us virtually.
