The City of Chicago Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights along with the Indo American Center, the Cook County Public Defender's Office., Legal Aid Society, Metropolitan Family Services, the United African Organization, and Family Focus, will offer a virtual information session on the recent increase in ICE activity, what to expect, and how to prepare.

During this event, we will go over recent trends in ICE enforcement, the importance of knowing your rights during traffic stops, and how to plan for a short-term guardianship for your children in case of detention or deportation.

The Trump administration’s termination of Haitian TPS goes into effect at midnight tonight, July 26th. In response, ICE is reportedly planning a deportation blitz targeting Haitians. If you see any potential ICE activity, or if are concerned you may be targeted and need help finding an attorney to see if you are eligible for other forms of relief, contact the ICIRR hotline at 855-435-7693.
