เมื่อวันที่ 18 ตุลาคม 2569 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครชิคาโก ร่วมกับวัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก ได้จัดพิธีถวายดอกไม้จันทน์ภาคประชาชน ดอกไม้จันทน์ตัวแทนแบบพิเศษ โดยนางสาวบาจรีย์ พึ่งพักตร์ กงสุลใหญ่ ในฐานะประธานในพิธี ได้กล่าวคำอธิษฐานจิต (ดอกไม้จันทน์) และได้ถวายดอกไม้จันทน์ตัวแทนแบบพิเศษจำนวน 1 ช่อ เพื่อเป็นดอกไม้จันทน์ตัวแทนสำหรับใช้ในพิธีถวายพระเพลิงพระบรมศพฯ (ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 15 - 16 ธันวาคม 2569 ณ วัดธัมมาราม นครชิคาโก) เบื้องหน้าพระฉายาลักษณ์สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง โดยมีข้าราชการสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ รวมทั้ง ผอ. สำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าในต่างประเทศ ณ นครชิคาโก ผอ. และ รอง ผอ. การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ณ นครชิคาโก พร้อมด้วยคณะเจ้าหน้าที่ และชุมชนไทยในนครชิคาโกและบริเวณใกล้เคียงเข้าร่วมพิธีดังกล่าวโดยพร้อมเพรียงกัน
On 18 October 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago, hosted a ceremony for the offering of a special bouquet of crafted sandalwood flowers at Wat Dhammaram, Chicago. Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak, as the host of the ceremony, recited a prayer of dedication and offered a special bouquet of crafted sandalwood flowers before the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. The special bouquet serves as a representative offering for the Royal Cremation Ceremony (scheduled to take place from 15-16 December 2026 at Wat Dhammaram, Chicago).
